What You Should Know First About Lead Generation

The 3 Month Rule is knowing the value of your lead generation. By combining knowledge and experience with your Home Business efforts it will be easier to understand the value of a lead. Many fail in their attempts at Home Business (an extremely high rate), but armed with The 3 Month Rule you can know exactly how close you’re getting to success!

Application of The 3 Month Rule requires you to have your business set up with a few things to build on your consistency. We like to call things that will make you money, “Revenue Generation Activities”. It’s not exclusive to what makes you money but knowing and performing what’s on this list will help you focus and get a better start.

  1. List Building, having a list will be the single greatest resource of your Home Business. You need to have an Auto-Responder set-up to build your list and use emails to also build with potential customers their Know, Like, & Trust in you as a leader. Having a relationship with your list builds their knowledge because you share value with them. which also gains a like and trust between you and your leads, the majority of people only buy from those the Know, Like, & Trust.
  2. Offers & Products, you will need a great offer or product to present to leads in return for their information (Opting In To Your List). Give your leads something valuable and they will gladly join your list, keeping those leads interested means continuing to give them more value (hint, keep developing more skills).
  3. Opt-In, Lead & Capture Pages, pretty much these all serve the same purpose and can be the same thing. You need this tool for your leads to see your business and what problems you can solve for them (that’s what your marketing, solutions: more money, more time, vacations, lose weight, etc.).

Knowing The Value Of Each Lead:

The value of each targeted lead you gain is 1 to $1 per month, so with every lead that’s targeted the net worth is $1 for your business. So let’s say you have 500 leads, your Home Business profit is $500 for each month. Since the return of each Targeted Lead is $1 for each one every month it’s advisable to keep the cost of generating leads below $1 for each one (you can spend more but recommend not to spend more until you’re advanced with ads).

Applying The 3 Month Rule:

Now that you know the value of a lead, let’s say your monthly ad budget is $500(using Pay Per Click methods on Yahoo/Bing, Facebook and or Twitter).

What you’re looking at in this example shows that as you gain leads each month in the beginning you will be at a negative in profit (you might make sales too but this uses the lowest possible expectations). As you continue these efforts your total leads numbers grow each month. Go ahead and do the numbers for month number 4. Eventually with constant effort you will soon be at a profitable margin just by sticking with it, the third month is where you see profits! That’s The 3 Month Rule, can you imagine what a year of consistency would do for your Home Business? Awesome isn’t it?
