There’s no better way to lure targeted website traffic to your site than mastering content marketing. You really need to structure a solid content marketing plan that helps you generate targeted leads on a consistent basis. Here are some proven ways to attain a stream of specifically targeted visitors to your website:
You have to gain the attention of the right targeted traffic. To start, you need a detailed profile of what your ideal customer is like (know your Avatar). In some cases you may have more than one customer type, especially if you have multiple products. If you don’t have a customer profile or a buyer persona, develop one now. This is important for marketing and really helps you to identify not only what your target likes & dislikes are but also their age, gender, affiliations, etc. Then, ask these questions to help identify who “the right” people are:

The purpose of the content is to engage with your targeted traffic by establishing expertise, trust and building relationships. This process is what converts them into buying customers. It’s very important to offer content that caters to all three of these phases:
Phase 1: Awareness – This is when buyers first become aware of your products and it’s ability to help them. They aren’t necessarily ready to buy at this point, this phase is getting your solution in front of the market.
Phase 2: Consideration – This is when buyers are considering their options, in this phase creating a sense of urgency or loss from not buying is key.
Phase 3: Intent – At this point, buyers understand the solutions (your product) and are almost ready to purchase. At this point, the number one thing you need to address is the ever-present question of “What’s in it for me?”. If you answer this question thoroughly, they’ll be ready to buy. This is also the phase where you really need to over deliver value. Marketers overload on the value in this phase to drive home your leads wanting to get their hands on your product quickly.
This refers to the content that follows a lead, lead magnet, or a “squeeze” page. This is the point when potential customers are providing you with their personal information. What you offer in return will either assure them that you can be trusted or completely turn them off because you wasted their time with something that offers little to no value. If you have completed all 3 phases as described your leads will be happy to enter their information in exchange for the value you offer them.
It can be ebooks, training videos, group or site membership, pricing requests, coaching/consultation requests or Webinar registrations. It’s important that this content provides genuine value and begins to solve some sort of problem or gives leads something that really helps them. Basically of any method here you choose, it has to be so valuable that they would pay for it.
Step 1: The Call to Action (CTA) – These are generally at the end of blog posts or in emails, the action you want leads to take. Having one CTA is preferred even if it appears multiple times, but having multiple CTA’s can lead to confusion and very little response.
Step 2: Landing Page – Link your CTA to a landing page that contains the aforementioned valuable free offer.
Step 3: Thank You Page – Upon clicking on the submit button, the thank you page should have the download for your irresistible offer. This is also where you can include a second offer, perhaps a very low cost one with additional content that keeps the new leads engaged. This is a simple up-sell or back end offer.
Just because you’ve gained some leads doesn’t mean you’re set for life. Continue building trust and establishing your brand by creating epic content through blog posts. Solve problems and provide valuable insights in your posts and share on social media. Promoting your content is just as vital as the creation of it, try to promote your new content at least twice through the week.
Include your CTA on your social media links, your site and in email campaigns. The more consistent you are with this, the more consistent your leads will be. This is very important to establish gaining daily leads.
