Content Marketing For Lead Generation

Content Marketing For Lead Generation

Content Marketing For Lead Generation

It’s no big secret that generating leads is extremely important for your business, since it directly influences how successful it will be. However, you need to understand everything there is to know about the various methods using Content Marketing to attract more leads. For instance, using social media is a great way of driving more targeted traffic to your business.

But you also need to keep in mind that the most important aspect in this process is content marketing. Without it, all your efforts would be for naught. If you don’t know what to think about to create your own great stuff, then there’s no need to worry. I’ll show you how it can help you attract more leads:

  • Your great articles, images and videos will create a strong bond between you and your consumers. You need to understand that most people have an easier time trusting a brand if they see that it produces original content. This is because it shows them you are ready to put in a lot of time and effort to meet their needs and keep them interested.
  • Also, according to Hubspot, the majority of the consumers spend most of their time online engaging with custom content.
  • Furthermore, you need to understand that quality content will increase the visibility of your website, thus it will attract more leads.
  • In another study performed by Hubspot, they found that this type of marketing generates more leads in the long run. Keep in mind that what you create and share is all about inbound procedures, meaning it makes consumers look you up instead of the opposite.

But How Do You Actually Attract More Leads?

Knowing that great articles and images can generate more leads for your business is one thing, but learning how to put it into practice is another. One thing you must always work at is increasing the knowledge and skill you have about your business and marketplace. Without proper knowledge, you’ll just know the end results instead of understanding how to achieve them. Always keep these pointers in mind when working on your strategy:

Always establish your audience first.

If you want your marketing tactics to reach somebody you need to know who they are. Establishing your target audience is one of the first things you need to do when it comes to content marketing. Who are the people that are looking for your products and solutions? Then finding out where those people can be found should be included in your focus.

Identify the customer segment you are interested in for your niche or market, find out what types of websites they visit and visit them yourself to see what kind of content interests them. This is kind of like stalking or spying without the creepy parts. You’re simply applying due diligence by doing required market research.

Always Use Images When Publishing Content

This is a must. Don’t forget that people are generally visual creatures. Plus, in today’s fast-paced society, not many people have the time or the attention span to just read through long, pictureless articles, so adding some images helps keep them interested. Remember to use engaging, quality photos and to tag them so that they show up in search rankings. Since you’ve traveled (in your reading) so far, how about a bonus?

  • Use Canva.com for images, it is something I use with every post! You can edit images, add text, headlines, etc. You can even create infographics with Canva (if that’s your thing, don’t get me started on that)!
  • Create a “Super Share” image on every post! This is a 560 X 292 image that’s optimized (more details from Social Media Marketing) to share across multiple Social Sites with minimum loss (create on Canva):

Attraction Marketing – Mark Harbert On Halloween

It won’t guarantee that they’ll immediately acknowledge you back, but it helps to show people that you acknowledge others’ expertise on the subject. Do you have a mentor, Coach or industry leader you follow? Give the people who influence you thanks and acknowledgment often because it sets a great example for your own Team. Who knows, maybe one day some of the though leaders you previously mentioned might give you as a reference to others (P.S., I give out those famous “No Prize” awards for every reference!).

My very own references are many but perhaps the most influential leader for my efforts has been Mark Harbert. I decided some time ago that I needed a Coach and believe it or not, it was actually an image that started the journey! Only Mark could pull off wearing a Lime Green Pimp suit and still look like a guy I could talk to, hang out with and learn from. So yes I’m co-signing my own article by telling you that great content will deliver on many different levels for your business! At some point I gotta try to get my own Lime Green Pimp suit for Halloween (think maybe I can pull it off too? Nah!).
